A Blighted Flower and Other Stories

Until recently access to modern Tibetan novels and short stories for non-Tibetan readers has been rare and the present work is intended to fill this gap. The book provides a fascinating glimpse of modern Tibetan Literary art. Four stories included in the book focuses on women's lives in contemporary Tibet. The stories include; 1) A Blighted Flower by Dhondup Gyal, 2) A Shameless Bride by Dhondup Gyal and Tsering Dhondup, 3) A Girl with Her Face Concealed by Tenpa Yargya and 4) The Yellow Leaves of Summer by Tashi Palden.
